Chassis dynamometer having world class control algorithms coupled with innovative mechanical designs and integration technology has been completely developed over the acquisition period by TeSys for Hofmann TeSys GmbH and "Froude Hofmann" chassis dynamometer product IP (Intellectual Property) from 2016 up to 2018.  Now, TeSys can present a strong platform for the compete range of chassis dynamometer products contributable to Research and Development purpose with configurable versions for Battery Efficiency (PHEV, HEV, BEV), Emission, Performance/Endurance,Climatic, NVH and other bespoke applications to suit Military, Heavy/Medium/Light Duty vehicles as well as Motorcycle / AGV / ATV / 2-wheelers. Our chassis dynamometer has multiple solutions from a simple 1 wheel drive motorcycle to a fully independent 16x16 special commercial vehicle system applicable to conventional and e-drive vehicles.

Today’s vehicles are expected to perform reliably to specification in the extreme range of conditions experienced across the world, from sub-zero weather conditions in Antarctica to the humid heat of the tropical rain forests, including high altitude and turbulent/laminar windage conditions.  It is essential during a vehicle development program that the vehicle is tested in facilities which can simulate every kind of driving conditions.  

TeSys has a range of special chassis dynamometers, under such operating conditions in Climatic, Altitude and Wind Tunnel chambers/facilities, to provide accurate and repeatable road load simulation, speed, force and acceleration control modes.  Variable speed cooling fans can also be provided to reproduce the required air flow simulation.



  • TeSys chassis dynamometers for Climatic, Altitude and Wind Tunnel testing are all available as standard in single roller, 4x2, 4x4, multi-axles and independent configurations.
  • The precisely manufactured rollers are available from 0.5m to 2.5m in diameter, running in rolling element bearings which are temperature controlled according to the application.  Roller assemblies can be coated to increase tyre friction coefficients.
  • Trunnion mounted AC motors which compensate for system losses and simulate road load forces, vehicle inertia and gradient are mounted on the dynamometer baseframe. Thermally insulated floor plates and roller covers protect the motors from extremes of temperature.
  • The dynamometer baseframe can be mounted on a moving carriage to provide wheelbase adjustment to accommodate different vehicles.  Roller centers can be set automatically as part of the road load model information or set to the user's specific dimensions.
  • The dynamometer is provided with areal-time control processor, control I/O architecture and a GUI with a latest Windows™ Operating System.  A powerful data logger can store system and vehicle parameters.  A real-time graphics package can display this information on screen.
  • A central server function and host computer interface are available to enable data to be passed through in either direction.
